The Call: To Raise An Army Of Godly Father Figures
Ever since we started TFI four years ago, it’s been clear that the issue of fatherlessness was heavy on God’s heart. He has been with us through this journey and accomplished things that only He can do.
This year God has again chosen to shine His spotlight on The Fatherhood Initiative and the work that Godly Father Figures can do in a young man’s life. Suddenly everyone wants to hear about how God is moving in and through His people to change the world, one kid at a time.
Spectrum News recently visited our gym to highlight the work of TFI mentors. Click the image below to watch.
The Fatherhood Initiative is bringing greater understanding that fatherlessness is the root of the issues of many of the issues that plague our young people – mental health, poverty, a failed school system and crime.

Leading National Christian broadcaster K-Love is featuring The Fatherhood Initiative on their Closer Look public affairs program this month. They interviewed YFC Executive Director Michael Hennessy about YFC Basketball as well as the God’s Girls program and the impact it is having in Rochester city schools.

Local Christian broadcaster Family Life Network featured The Fatherhood Initiative on their Hometown Heroes program this month.
It is encouraging to see more and more men stepping up to take on the mantle of leadership and restore the biblical role of manhood in our culture.
People are searching for answers, and we know the only answer is Jesus Christ. God works through individuals and churches to spread the gospel and accomplish His purposes.
At TFI, we are always seeking churches and men’s ministry leaders to help us raise an army of healthy male role models and connect them to young men at their church and in the community through programs like Link Youth Mentorship and YFC Basketball.
This past year we have focused on helping churches develop strong men’s ministries through our Man Cave events.
